JCW - A history lesson

Where we've come from, and where we're going

Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW) was formed in January of 1999 by independent wrestlers who had a strong desire to bring a unique brand of high-quality professional wrestling to the great state of New Jersey. JCW is an exciting professional wrestling company dedicated to producing affordable family entertainment. Under the leadership of Rick Otazu, JCW became one of the most respected wrestling promotions in the state. In a short time, JCW established itself as a strong community-minded venture working with local school districts, municipal associations and community groups to create fundraising opportunities. JCW superstars and staff members have made numerous appearances on News12 New Jersey programming, and many of our events have been covered by the New York Daily News and Miami Herald online.

JCW is committed to working with local communities to provide solid entertainment and fundraising opportunities.

In under a year, Jersey Championship Wrestling raised more than $10,000 for New Jersey charities.

* When the Lyndhurst, East Rutherford, and Cliffside Police Departments wanted to raise money for their P.B.A. they turned to JCW.

* When the Lodi Boys and Girls Club wanted to hold a fund-raiser, they turned to JCW.

* And when the Paramus PTA and Elmwood Park Rec. Center decided to host major fund-raisers they turned to JCW.
